ALL PERFORMANCES FREE TO THE PUBLIC

Battery Dance Company announces its 28th Annual DOWNTOWN DANCE FESTIVAL with 7 days of free performances by 21 dance companies from the U.S., India, and the Republic of Georgia.   Five week-day programs will take place August 17-21, 12 noon to 2 PM, at Chase Plaza.   Two weekend performances, August 22 & 23, 1 to 4 PM, will be staged at the Lawn at Battery Park.   All performances will end with the popular Everybody Dance NOW!, in which audience members are invited on stage to learn a segment from one of the dances they’ve just watched in performance.

 

Performances August 17 through 21 are 12 noon to 2 PM at Chase Plaza, Nassau Street (between Liberty and Pine)

By Subway: 2, 3, 4, 5 trains to Wall Street station

 

Performances August 22 & 23 are 1 PM to 4 PM at The Lawn at Battery Park, adjacent to State Street at Pearl Street

By Subway: #1 to South Ferry; #4, 5 to Bowling Green; R or W to Whitehall
